Davis and Veemon

Veemon and Davis are like best friends. They like each other, they protect each other and they often argue. They don't hide their feelings - if they have a problem with each other they say it loud. I think such partnerships last much longer because Davis looks at Veemon as if he was a human not 'just' a Digimon.

Davis and Veemon became really great friends when they first met. From the first episode they supported each other and protected each other. In episode 4 Davis was really upset, because he thought that Kari hates him, Veemon thought that this is the first time he saw him so sad and he wanted to cheer him up.

Even Veemon knows that Daisuke like Kari very much. He even noticed how Daisuke changes his attitude because of Kari. And also in episode 22 they both dreamed about Kari and Gatomon. They both wanted to do something cool to impress them. That didn't really go well but in the end Veemon managed to evolve into ExVeemon.

In episode 11 when Davis gets his armor egg of friendship he realized what friendship is. He didn't have the same problems as Matt did, but he wasn't sure about the friendship between humans and Digimon. He didn't want to attack Agumon because he was Tai's Digimon. Davis saw how everyone was risking their lives for their Digimon partners. He wasn't sure if he would act the same if Veemo would be in danger. But later he realized that he was a coward and he needs to believe in his Digimon partner and himself if he wanted to set Agumon free.

Davis: Takeru put himself in danger to save Patamon ...
Flamedramon: Daisuke would you do the same for me?
Davis: Yeah, maybe ...
Flamedramon: Maybe? Maybe, you say? You mean "of course"! *

After that Davis always supported Veemon and they fought together and won all the time.

In the episode 48 when Davis and Veemon were fighting alone with MaloMyotismon Davis believed in him. He believe in them, that they will win the fight.

Davis: We've gone through a lot of tough battles, but we did our best and won! **
