Season 01 Relationships
KARI YAGAMI AND TAI YAGAMI
Great family, great love... Tai is always there for Kari and so is Kari for her brother. They understand each other and they
were there for each other when they were already really young. Tai helped Kari all the time and she helped him. When Tai came
to the real world Kari had a cold and Tai took good care of her. He made her lunch (or breakfast?), checked the temperature and all that
stuff. When Kari took Koromon to the toilet she told him that Tai is a really good brother, that he had done a lot of stuff for her.
When she wet her bed Tai always helped her even if it was in the middle of the night and later he pretended that he was the one who
wet it.
Kari: I used to wet the bed a lot, but my brother would always help me. He'd wash my underwear for me in the middle of the night, and later he'd pretend he was the one who wet it. He's really nice.*
When Kari becomes a DigiDestined and goes to the Digiworld, Tai always cares for her and is worried about her. Once she gets really sick and Tai was really worried. He even fought with Izzy, because he didn't find a medicine for Kari and later when he did, he was trying to find Kari. ~ They were separated. He remembered that once when Kari was sick Tai wanted to play soccer and Kari agreed with him. But because of that she got herself in a hospital because she never told Tai that she's not feeling well. Their parents were really mad at him at that time. But when Kari came out of the hospital she apologized to him, because she didn't kick the ball well.
Tai: That's the kind of girl she is. She's always thinking about other people before herself and she'll never tell anyone that she's in pain or having a hard time, even if it kills her!**
In the first season Tai and Kari always wanted to be near each other and together. But in season 2 that changed. They both are older now and they don't go to the same school and they probably don't have so much free time as they used to have. In one episode even T.K. told Kari to stop being Tai's little sister and that she should stop being dependent on him. But still they remain as a two loving brother and sister. In Digimon Tri they are still very close. It's like a normal brother-sister relationship. They were there for each other on sunny and rainy days. You can see her being totally destroyed when Tai "died". It made her unknowingly create the dark portal with corrupted digital code which only led to more destruction.
In Last Evolution Kizuna Tai moves out and lives alone so the two of them don't see eachother that often as before. They both still participate in Digimon related stuff where Kari reminds Tai to come home every here and then since their mother wants to see him a bit more. Their relationship isn't any different in the movie - they still care for eachother deeply.
In The Beginning, Kari mentions that she tried to call Tai, but he got upset and told her he's way too busy for small talk. So their relationship is like any other busy sibling relationship.

KARI YAGAMI AND SORA TAKENOUCHI
Kari is Tai's little sister, but sometimes Sora also acts like her older sister. They know each other because of Tai and when they
met in the real world they didn't actually see each other for the first time. Kari was probably sometimes at Tai's soccer training or
game and since Sora was his teammate they probably saw each other before. Tai really loves Kari and he trusted Sora to take care of her.
When Myotismon was searching for Kari, Sora and Matt tried to protect her. But when Kari saw that she is making her friends getting hurt
she decided to give herself in. Sora and Matt were really worried because of that (and probably a little scared of Tai ;D).
Later when Kari got sick Sora was taking care of her again. Along with T.K.. And also when Kari, T.K., and Sora were separated from all the others Sora took care of them both. Also at the end of season 1 when Piedmon attacked them Sora sacrificed her life so that Kari and T.K. could ran away. She didn't sacrifice in wain because T.K. saved them in the end.
In season 2 they are still good friends. Since Kari is now with the new DigiDestined group they don't hang out together anymore. Sora isn't shown so much in season 2 but when she is she is there with the whole group, not just with Kari.
In Digimon Tri we didn't get any special Sora and Kari moments. They get along very good and they function well together. Even though Sora is the one who cares for the other T.K. usually cares for Kari in the Tri series. But it's nice seeing girls hanging out together.
In Last Evolution Kizuna Sora is doing stuff away from Digimon battles and Digimon related activities that's why she doesn't see others very often. She still checks the group chat to see that everyone is okay. She believes in her friends and support them when in need.
In The Beginning, it's mentioned that the 01 kids are very busy living their lives, so they are not in as much contact as they were when they were young.
KARI YAGAMI AND MATT ISHIDA
I don't think that Matt and Kari have any special relationship. Kari probably sees him as the older brother figure - when Tai isn't around of course. Even though Matt is
a really good brother to T.K., he doesn't really know how to deal with her. When Myotismon captured Kari's parents she needed Matt to tell her that's everything is going to be
alright. He wasn't that sure and that made her cry - even Gabumon told him to stop making her cry. Later when Matt and Sora were attacked, because they were protecting her, Kari
decided to surrender herself, because she wanted them to stop hurting Matt and Sora. In season 2 they never really talk or have any special relationship. In Digimon Tri it stays the same.
Kari is the same age as T.K. so she hangs out more with him or her brother than any other DigiDestined.
In the Last Evolution Kizuna the two of them still see each other at Digimon related activities since they both participate in it. They are all very busy with their own life so they don't see each other and the rest as they did before.

KARI YAGAMI AND IZZY IZUMI
They are much closer in the second season, where they at least talk to each other. Not that they weren't friends or something, they just didn't have any relationship
in season 1. In season 2 they meet almost every day because Izzy is often at her school. I think that they're just friends. They don't share a lot of mutual interests.
I mean they are both Digidestined, but Izzy is more like a "computer geek" and he's more like Yolei (in the beginning I thought that Yolei and Izzy are going to end together).
In season 2 they were teamed together and they went to Hong Kong together.
As before they see each other for Digimon related stuff. They have different interests, they are different age and Kari hangs out more with T.K. or her brother than any other DigiDestined. In Last Evolution Kizuna their relationship stays the same - they often see eachother at Digimon related activities since Izzy is the driven force behind them.

KARI YAGAMI AND MIMI TACHIKAWA
First season there was nothing to find between them. Mimi probably thought Kari was too young for her (even though Mimi was acting very childish at the beginning of the
season 1). But in season 2 they are always happy to see each other. I think that they get along very well. In movie 3 Kari and T.K. even visit Mimi in America and I'm pretty
sure that they wouldn't be there if they won't get along as they do. (Even though Kari wanted to make Davis jealous with this trip to America with T.K.).
In movie 2 Mimi went to Hawai and she sent a postcard to Tai (only Tai), so I think that they became really good friends in season 2 when Kari's a little older.
In Digimon Tri the girls hang out a bit more than before. Mimi comes back from America to Japan and they see each other more. Usually, they see each other for Digimon related stuff since they both hang out with others more.
In Last Evolution Kizuna Mimi is pretty much absent from the Digimon activities but still stays in contact with the Digidestined group.

KARI YAGAMI AND JOE KIDO
It was really hard to find a picture of them being together. Joe is for Kari just a very older friend, who she respects and can count on if necessary. I read somewhere that
that Kari sees him as the center of the group and that without him the group would have disbanded. I think that every one of them has a special place in the group and the
group wouldn't be the same if anyone would be missing. Joe is the oldest of the group and he takes a lot of responsibility because he thinks he has to (because he is the
oldest and he needs to protect other children).
In Digimon Tri, at first Joe wants to live his life away from Digimon battles and fights. He thinks of himself as a coward and needs an answer to why he is one of the chosen children and why they are always the ones who need to save the world. He feels like he doesn't have the time for the Digimon stuff anymore if he wants to succeed in school. Since Kari heard him talking about this to Mimi and knows what he is dealing with she is the one who talks to Joe and helps him see that Gomamon and the others need him.
Kari: Gomamon is fighting. Joe senpai, you said you wanted a reason, right? A reason for what? For fighting? Or a reason why we're the DigiDestined? Joe senpai, you've forgotten something important. You and Gomamon were chosen together as partners. Do you need a reason for that? Who cares about being an adult or a child? You two are partners.*
In Last Evolution Kizuna Joe doesn't participate in Digimon activities anymore and is studying all the time since he is in his fifth year of medical school. That's why the two of them don't see each other very often.

KARI YAGAMI AND T.K. TAKAISHI
Kari and T.K. are at the same age when they met. They get along really well. They both have brothers and they both deal with the same things.
There are many evidences of their relationship of their friendship and the relationship could evolve to love - but we don't know what happens to them. So in season 1, they
were both kids. T.K. takes care of Kari if Tai isn't around (or any other older friend). Which is pretty normal, because she is a girl and he is a boy and a boy needs to take
care of a girl ;). And in episode 52, when they were in danger, T.K. acted really brave, because of her and he wanted to save her no matter what. When Piedmon grabbed T.K., Kari didn't
want to let T.K. go, because she didn't want Piedmon to take him.
In season 2 T.K. is still very protective of her. I don't know if they saw each other many times between the seasons because when Kari saw T.K. in the first episode, she said "It's been a long time". If they were a couple already in the first season (or at the end of it) I think they would see each other between the seasons. In episode 13 (which is full of Takari evidences) T.K. saved Kari from a Dark ocean. I think he felt really guilty because he wasn't very nice to her before (he "yelled" at her, because she was still acting like a child and she wanted her brother to be there) and that's why he wanted to save her no matter what (and also because they're very good friends and so).
Kari: My brother always protected me during times like these ...
T.K.: Taichi-san ... Always Taichi-san, Taichi-san ... You're always depending on him! You can't do that!*
At the end of the second season we don't really know what happened to them. I think that they're just too perfect for a couple - they would be so boring together. I think that in the end Kari didn't end up with any of the DigiDestined group. If she would the producers would tell us (as they did for Ken and Yolei and Sora and Matt).
If you read Kari's song (Reflection) she is talking about a guy that's most likely T.K. She is talking about him really nice, about how he was always there for her and how he always helped her and that their relationship is too precious to be called love. I think that she's talking that they're really good friends with no love romance. (Even though T.K. made a Christmas present for Kari in Drama CD: Christmas Fantasy).

In T.K.'s song (Focus) he is talking about a person who he met when he was younger and they had a really good time together and now he wanted to know, who is the focus of "your" heart. The song could be about Kari and Kari's song could be the answer to his question.

In Digimon Tri Kari and T.K. become even better friends. Since Davis, Yolei, Cody, and Ken are missing the two of them are the only DigiDestined from their season 2 group. They are the same age and go to the same high school, same class. Every time there is some kind of danger T.K. protects Kari and when Kari doesn't feel well or is feeling down he is the one who takes care of her, supports her or consoles her. He has grown up since the second season and Kari's really impressed by it. There are also some scenes where Kari and T.K. joke about him having a girlfriend, being a babe-magnet ... ((I kinda like T.K. (and Matt) from Digimon Tri, too bad they are not like this all the time.))
In Last Evolution Kizuna the two of them are as good friends as before and see eachother at the Digimon related activities. They are probably still hanging out a lot like they did before.
I think they are still the best friends from the 02 group who hang out the most and we can see that in the last movie The Beginning. They are shown at the beginning of the movie together, right outside the movie theater. In the movie, we see the two of them having a disagreement, but they talk it through like adults.

Season 02 Relationships
KARI YAGAMI AND DAVIS MOTOMIYA
Since I own a Daikari page I won't write a lot about their relationship here, because you can find a closer look at Daikari at my Daikari section. So we all know that Kari's
Davis' crush. He wants to be around her all the time (at least at the beginning of the second season - before Ken). In the first episode Davis's really happy to be together
with Kari in the same class again. Davis is very jealous and that's why he doesn't like T.K.. He's sad that T.K. and Kari get along so well (and because they know each other
for so long time) and he also wanted to act really cool to impress Kari. Davis always agrees with her with everything (and he does that really obvious because everyone notices it).
In the end Davis wasn't so pushy anymore (because he spent more time with his best friend Ken) and I think that Kari kinda missed that (check my Daikari research ;)).
In Digimon Tri the original DigiDestined didn't know that Davis, Ken, Yolei, and Cody were missing but they were all absent for a pretty long time. And still no one tried to contact them and no one really thought of them. I guess it has to be pretty normal for them to just disappear and don't stay in touch since no one was worried because of their absence.
In Last Evolutin Drama CD we can see that Davis still has a crush on Kari since the group is talking about a vacation and Davis is imagening all the places he could visit with Kari. Even when Kari comments that seeing him pursue his dreams makes him look kind of cool he gets excited about it. So after 5 years he still has a crush on her.
Cody: When you say “everyone,” to what extent do you mean?
Davis: I was thinking, first, Hikari-chan! Then Takeru, Ken, Iori, and Miyako. I thought about reaching out to Taichi-san and the others too, but our seniors seem pretty busy.

Davis: I like that! Playing tennis with Hikari-chan in Karuizawa!
Davis: I like that… Swimming underwater in the ocean with Hikari-chan ... Hehehe ...

Kari: Seeing you pursue your dreams makes you look kind of cool.
Davis: Huh?! Really?!*
In The Beginning we can see the two of them as they were before, nothing changes.
KARI YAGAMI AND YOLEI INOUE
They are the only girls of the DigiDestined group in season 2. Yolei is older than Kari and they didn't get along that much in the beginning. Kari was always on T.K.'s side or
Davis' and Yolei really get along with Cody and Davis (probably because they were new in the group and Yolei also knew Cody before all this Digimon adventure). They started to be like best friends
after Gatomon and Hawkmon's DNA digivolution. In episode 31 Yolei thought that Kari was making fun of her and she was really convinced that she's making fun of her. Later in the same episode
Kari told Yolei that she actually envied her, because she could express her feelings and she could scream if she wants to and she (Kari) can't be honest or scream like that.
Kari:Miyako-san, you're a handful sometimes.
Yolei: I knew that's what you thought of me ...
Kari: But ... I've always envied that. Because I can't be honest and say I'm scared or scream like you.*
At the end of the episode Kari gets possessed by darkness again. Yolei saved her from the dark ocean and told her that she'll be always there for her and when the darkness is going to swallow her, she will bring her back.
Yolei: Get a hold of yourself! If you hear the voice of darkness, I'll scream. If the darkness is swallowing you, I'll grab your hands and bring you back!**
At the end of the episode Kari told T.K. that she'll never go back in that world (Dark ocean). And after this adventure Yolei realized that now she understands more about Ken and Kari.
Yolei: I think I understand Ken a little better now. And Hikari-chan too.***
After this episode they get along much better and they also hang out more than they did before.

In Last Evolution Kizuna Yolei is studying abroad in Spain but she tries to be as active as she can in Digimon related activities. Just before the attack on the Digidestined the 02 children were making plans for their vacation and Kari really wanted to go to Spain to visit Yolei so she can show them around Spain. They are all busy with their life but they still find time for eachother.
Their relationship stays the same in The Beginning. The two of them are bonded for life since their Digimon partners have a DNA digivolution together. In The Beginning timeline, Yolei is in India, so they probably see each other less than before.

KARI YAGAMI AND CODY HIDA
Cody is a friend of Kari and they get along. And that's all. They don't work together much and it was really hard to find a picture where they were like standing together
or even in the same picture. But besides that Kari is still a good supporting friend. Once Cody couldn't go with them because he had a practice (Kendo) and Kari wished him
well and to do his best at practice. So if you have any idea what to say here, please tell me. There is nothing to say. They are just two friends in the same DigiDestined group.

KARI YAGAMI AND KEN ICHIJOUJI
Ken and Kari are very similar. They both have the same fear - darkness. When Ken was still a Digimon Kaiser Kari didn't like him at all (nobody did). When Ken started
to help DigiDestined, she wasn't really sure why did he do this. She didn't know if Ken was actually helping them because he wanted to help them or he had other intentions.
Davis was the first one who really trusted Ken and Kari didn't really know if they should trust him or not. She just wanted to wait a little longer and watch Ken for a little
longer to see what his intentions really are.
Davis: So, you think he had other intentions?
Kari: I don't know ...
Kari (thinking): We should watch him [Ken] a little longer.*
But after a while, Kari and the others finally realized that Ken had changed and he wanted to help them. As I said, Kari and Ken's biggest fear is darkness. Yolei helped Kari to deal with it and when Ken was facing darkness Kari was the first one who helped him and tried to encourage him so that he wouldn't give up.
Kari: Hang in there, Ichijouji-kun! Don't give in!**
Also, they were the only ones who can see and feel the Sea of Darkness in episode 31, when Ken, Kari, and Yolei went to the dark ocean again.

Digimon Tri Relationships
KARI YAGAMI AND MEIKO MOCHIZUKI
When Meiko is sad because of everything that is happening to Meicoomon the DigiDestined try to console her and be there for her and Meicoomon. Kari tells her she shouldn't worry since she is sure
her heart will reach Meicoomon since the bond between the DigiDestined and their Digimon partners is strong. She wants her to trust Meicoomon and herself as a DigiDestined more. And even if she
can't she has a lot of friends who will always be at her side. Like the rest of the DigiDestined they are both supportive of each other and when everyone lost hope for Meicoomon Kari was the only
one who could see the light in Meicoomon and wanted to save her without destroying her.
