Episode 38 - A Very Digi Christmas
At that time it was Christmas time. Davis and other digidestined decided to bring all the digimon in the real world and give them to Tai and others as a present. That's how their digimon came to the real world.
At that time Matt and his band had a concert and Tai, Sora, Izzy and Joe (and their digimon partners) decided to go. Before the concert started Sora wanted to go to Matt to give him a homemade cookies. She was standing infront of the door when Tai came. He asked her what she is doing there and if she's going to give the cookies to Matt. He saw that she didn't want to talk about it so he just said that's okay and she should go inside and hurry since Matt is about to go on the stage. Tai wished her luck and Sora went inside. Agumon noticed that Tai has really grown up since the first day they met.
Tai: Sora, what are you doing here?
Sora: Taichi!
Gabumon: Wow! I smell something good!
Agumon: Was is it?
Tai: Is that for Yamato?
Sora: Yeah ...
Tai: What? Something homemade?
Sora: Does it really matter?
Gabumon: Aren't you coming inside?
Biyomon: Sora has been hesitating for a while here.
Sora: Hey, Biyomon!
Tai: You'd better go give it to him now! It's going to start!
Sora: Uh ... alright ...
Tai: Come on! Hurry up!
Sora: But ...
Agumon: If you don't want eat it, we're gonna eat it!
Sora: All right, I'm going.
Tai: Good luck, Sora.
Agumon: Taichi ... You've grown up!
Tai: You idiot!
In the middle of the concert DarkTyrannomon attacked the tent where Matt and his band were playing. Since Agumon and other digimons couldn't evolve they decided to leave the tent and go outside.
DarkTyrannomon demolished the tent and it was really dangerous to be there. That's actually mentioned in one episode later, but Jun saw how Matt protected Sora during the DarkTyrannomon attack and that's why Jun gave up on being with Matt. (That's also probably the beginning of the relationship between Matt and Sora).
In the dub version Tai was really disappointed when Sora said to him that she's not going to the concert with anyone because she has to be free in case Matt would be free after the concert. She wanted to give him homemade cookies. Since Tai didn't have anything against it and he wasn't mad she said she'll make special cookies for him and Agumon. He silently said that he'll be waiting. Agumon also noticed how much Tai has grown up during the years.
When I was younger I didn't even realize what's happening here. I knew it wasn't anything good but when I decided to do a Taiora page and saw this part again it was probably the saddest Taiora moment for me - it still is (and the final episode). (And for Sorato fans one of the best moments ;p). Even though it was a Sorato moment it was still pretty nice because this episode made Tai's feelings official - he asked Sora out on Matt's concert.
Episode 42 - Digimon World Tour, Part 3
This evidence is actually just in the dub version. Sora and Yolei went to Russia to save the world and send all the Digimon from the real world to the digital world. Because neither Sora or Yolei could speak Russian they were trying really hard to communicate with them. When they didn't understand them, Sora was thinking that it's embarrassing and she is not going to tell Tai about this.
Sora: This is embarrassing. I'm not gonna tell Tai!
I am not sure why she would think this ... She just rejected him 4 episodes ago. But I guess they stayed really good friends even after she decided to be with Matt. I always wondered about their relationship in season 2, since Sora wasn't in it that much. And since Sora was thinking about Tai's reaction to this, it sounds like she still cares what Tai thinks of her (at least in dubs :p).
In the original version (Japanese) Sora didn't think about Tai at all (sadly :p). She was just thinking about how to communicate with the Russian DigiDestined. Yolei and Sora just stared at them and she was thinking that this isn't working. That they can't communicate like this.
Episode 48 - Oikawa's Shame
This "evidence" was also just in a dub version. This actually really pissed me off. Tai and Sora were together following a dark spore child. Matt, Izzy, and the other DigiDestined were watching over other children. Izzy asked Matt if he's okay with Sora and Tai being alone. What pissed me off was Matt's reaction. He said that he isn't worried at all, because Tai knows how he feels about Sora. And he really trust Sora, so there's nothing he should be worrying about.
Izzy: Does it bothers you that Sora is with Tai instead of you?
Matt: C'mon. Tai is my best friend and he knows how I feel. Besides, I completely trust Sora, I'm not worried at all, Izzy.
I think that's really low isn't it? How could he say something like that?! Do you want to tell me that he NEVER noticed Tai already liked Sora way before the two of them started "dating"?! And he still goes there and steals Sora from him! This was really mean! Since Izzy asked Matt that it's possible that he knew about Tai's feelings (and remember the second movie! Izzy knows a lot about the two of them ;)).
In the original version this didn't happen at all (thank god). Izzy just asked Matt if he's sure he didn't have to go with the two of them. But Matt said that Tai has Agumon with him and if something happens Matt wouldn't be able to help anyway. As you see it wasn't about Sora/Tai/Matt's relationship at all.
