Sora is a very reliable person and tries to take care of the other kids. Her father, Haruhiko, works as a professor at the Kyoto University and in season 2, Jim Kido (Shuu) researches at the university with Sora's dad. She lives only with her mother, Toshiko, a famous flower arranger who also has an ikebana academy. Sora is the bearer of the Crest of Love." (Digimon Wiki)

5th grader in Odaiba elementary school. She is a member of the soccer club just like Taichi. While a strong-willed girl who is powerful enough to play 2-top with Taichi as the team's striker, she is also a sensible, level-headed person who is thoughtful about the smallest details. She takes good care of the younger children in the group, like Mimi, Takeru, and Hikari, and she is loved by them as a kind older sister. On the other hand, she also has a delicate side to her and often keeps her troubles to herself. Her mother once stopped her from participating in a soccer match, and Sora misunderstood her actions by thinking that her mother only cared about her being the successor of the family's iemoto tradition. However, while she was trying to stop an injured Piyomon from joining a fight, she realized how her mother must have felt when she had stopped Sora. Sora's family - Takenouchi Yoshiko. Sora's mother, whose is the iemoto in the art of flower arranging. Because she expresses herself somewhat strictly, there are times when she is misunderstood. However she loves Sora from the very bottom of her heart. When Vamdemon attacked, she disguised herself with Piyomon and blended in with a crowd of Bakemon in order to find Sora. In Digimon Adventure tri., Sora is often seen as a mediator between both Tai and Matt when they were arguing. She is also a very brave person when she faces a disguised Ken Ichijouji as the Digimon Emperor who later revealed himself as Dark Gennai who causes the infected Digimon to take rampage in the city and its reboot while he attempts to steal her Digivice. She also is shown to have a more motherly side, as she continually checks on her friends, and make sure they are all well.(Digimon Wiki)
Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna: A senior at a women's college. Rather than get a job, she's decided to follow the same path as her mother, who's the head of a traditional flower arrangement school. Sociable as ever, Sora has a wide circle of friends and will even teach foreigners, but she feels it's important to have a regular daily routine, and she doesn't see the others very often. (TOEI)

Season 01 (デジモンアドベンチャー)
Sora is the main female character in Digimon Adventure series. She is the "peace-maker" in the DigiDestined group. She tries to get along with
all the rest of the group and she is always ready to help them. She tries to help everybody and she's like a "mother" to them ~ she takes care of them (especially for Mimi, T.K., and Kari ~ for younger than
she is). Sora's crest is in the shape of a heart and it means love. In the beginning Sora didn't believe that she deserves it.
Sora: And mine is ... The crest of love.
Tai: Love fits you perfectly, Sora.
Sora: No it doesn't ... it doesn't fit me at all!
Tai: B-but ... You always think about the others and ...*
She thought that no one loves her, neither her mother. But later she put herself in the same situation as her mother did and she
realized that everything her mother did was because she loves her. Her relationship with Biyomon and even her mother became stronger than it
was. Sora also gets along very well with her Digimon partner. Before all the adventure in the Digimon world, Sora didn't know any of the group
except Tai. They were in the same soccer club (which is also Sora's hobby in the first season) and also in the same Elementary school in Hikarigaoka before they
moved to Odaiba.
Biyomon: Did you live in Hikarigaoko too, Sora?
Sora: Yeah.
Tai: Sora and I were in the same class. Dai-san Elementary School, class 1-2.**
I can't forget to mention that Sora is a tomboy. That's why she is more sporty and she plays soccer and later tennis. In DUB
version Tai introduces her as an OK person.
Tai: This is Sora. She's OK for a girl.***
When Sora and all the others DigiDestined went to the digital world (or more likely, when they were pulled in it) the only thing she
brings in with her was her little pink bag full of "medicine" stuff. Inside her pink bag she got a travel size first aid, kit ~ adhesive tape, disinfectant, some thread
, and needles.

Season 02 (デジモンアドベンチャー02)
In season 2, Sora isn't the main female character anymore. As all the other old DigiDestined she isn't seen as much as she was in the first season. In season 2 she is 3 years older and already in junior high school. Her personality is almost the same as in the first season. In the second season she became more shy and girly (she started wearing more skirts), but she still gets along very well with the old and also the new DigiDestined group. Sora is still a caring, reliable person. For example in the second episode, Sora's trying to calm Yolei, because she doesn't want to fight.
As I already said she is more girly and she quit playing soccer. Instead of soccer she began playing tennis. At the beginning of the season Sora isn't shown so much, but later when all the Digimon can evolve again she starts fighting with them again. She's still a good friend with Tai, but they end being just friends. Later she and Matt get along very well, begin dating and also 25 years later the two of them get married and get 2 kids ~ one daughter and one son. In the end Sora became what we never expected her to be - a fashion designer (specializing in Japanese style).
"8th grader in Odaiba middle school. 14 years old. After going into middle school, she joined the tennis club. Her experiences in the adventure have taught her to have a wider world view, and she has begun to challenge herself to become more feminine. Her relationship with her mother has gotten very good, and now she is learning flower-arranging and tennis from her. Some time immediately after that, she begins to have feelings for Yamato and the two of them start going out around Christmas. In Russia, she and Miyako make a lot of effort together in order to protect borscht. Takenouchi Haruhiko - Sora's father, a professor who teaches folkloristics at Tokyo University. His research takes him all over the world, and currently he is staying in Kyoto. Feeling that the spirits in Japanese folklore such as the kitsune and tanuki are similar to Digimon, not only is he grateful to the Digimon for aiding in his daughter's growth, but he also appears to have an interest in the Digimon themselves. After meeting Miyako by coincidence while she is on a school trip, he told her about the four holy beasts that protected Kyoto from every direction. He also shows himself to be a somewhat comical person when he responds with an enthusiastic "Bingo!"
Takenouchi's parents - Haruhiko is rarely at home due to his immersion in his research, while the mother is busy upholding the iemoto tradition. Digimon Tri (デジモンアドベンチャーtri)
Sora is a second-year student at Tsukishima General High School where she is in the same class as Tai and Matt (and later Meiko). Sora is still very kind, responsible, caring, brave and protective of her friends. She always takes care of others and is there for them. She constantly worries for them and checks on their well being. She jokes she is like a mother of the DigiDestined group - she puts others before her. As Tai and Biyomon say this is one of her best quality, she is always in other people's business trying to help them but it's hard to know how she feels because she never talks about her own problems and saves them without other knowing.
She is also the peacekeeper who tries to keep the peace within the group - especially between Tai and Matt who are usually the ones fighting.
Biyomon: What about you? Please take care of yourself more.
Sora: Take care ... of myself?
Biyomon: Not possible, huh. But, that's one of your good points.*
Digimon Last Evolution Kizuna (デジモンアドベンチャー Last Evolution 絆)
Even though this is a movie and not a whole new season I decided to put this here too since it's a different time period than other seasons and movies. In last evolution Kizuna Sora is 22 years old and a senior at a women's College. We find out in one of the movie's prequel that Sora decides to walk her own path away from Digimon battles. She wants to be her own person, a normal teenage girl, doing the things she likes and not the things that are expected from her (battling with her Digimon partner just because she is a Digidestined or follow her mothers steps just because she is a famous flower arranger). Even though she doesn't participate in any Digimon activity and doesn't really see much the others she still believes and supports her friends to save the world as they usually do.
Sora: I want to be a normal girl. Not as a DigiDestined or the daughter of a flower arrangement Grand Master. I want to live as Sora Takenouchi!*
Matt: Sora's getting really serious about flower arranging.**
Between the Seasons
DRAMA CD: Digimon adventure: original story, 2-and-a-half year break (デジモンアドベンチャーオリジナルストーリー ２年半の休暇 )
In this Drama CD you can find Sora's letter to her father. As we know written in October 2000. They went into the digital world in 1999, so this letter
is written one year later and 2,5 years before the next adventure.
Sora's talking about their last visit to the Digital world and about the research her father's doing. Biyomon couldn't evolve to Garudamon anymore, but in that time the world was in peace, so he didn't need to. She also mentioned that her father is a university professor and that Joe's brother is going to Kyoto to take his classes. She already stopped playing soccer and now she is playing tennis with her mother ~ actually her mother is a coach to her. Sora also talks about all the stuff that happened (her father meeting her mom, her moving to Odaiba, Joe's brother coming to Kyoto). She doesn't believe that all these stuffs were/are a coincidence.
, In the end, she wishes her father a happy birthday and mentioned that she has never been to Kyoto and she'll go there with her school, but she would love to travel with him and her mother as a family.
Also when Joe is calling his big brother, he mentioned Sora - that she became more feminine.
Joe: Do you remember Takenouchi Sora-kun? Yeah, that slightly tomboyish girl. She's been wearing skirts lately though, so she looks more feminine.*

Family
MOTHER YOSHIKO TAKENOUCHI
She is Sora's mother. Yoshiko is the iemoto which means that she is a master who teaches flower arranging. As a mother she is a little bit strict and because of that Sora and
her had a lot of misunderstandings and fights. For a long time Sora was convinced that her mother doesn't love her at all which isn't true at all. Her mother also risked her life in order to
find and protect Sora from Bakemons.
When Sora stopped with soccer, her mom started teaching her how to play tennis. Yoshiko was also in a tennis club when she was in high school. As her coach she was also strict.
Yoshiko met Sora's father Haruhiko when he was still in the university in Tokyo and he was doing some researches in Kyoto - and there they met. Later
Yoshiko moved from Kyoto to Tokyo and when she gets her flower shop she moved from Hikarigaoka to Odaiba.
FATHER HARUHIKO TAKENOUCHI
Haruhiko is almost never at home. He met Yoshiko in Kyoto when he was still in the university in Tokyo.
He moved from Tokyo to Kyoto to be with her, but Yoshiko later moved to Tokyo because of
her flower shop. Haruhiko teaches folklore at a university in Tokyo, but he has been doing some researchers in Kyoto for a year before season 2. He travels all over Japan and he even goes
overseas so he can't go home that easily.
He knew that Sora was a rebel against her mother and he is really thankful to Digimon, because of them Sora became more mature, open-minded and she stopped
fighting so much with Yoshiko. He's also thankful to Digimon for keeping their family together.
Haruhiko is also a professor of Joe's big brother (Shuu). Shuu transferred from the medical department to Haruhiko's department.
HUSBAND YAMATO "MATT" ISHIDA
25 years after Season 02 Sora married one of the DigiDestined, Matt Ishida. In the first season there aren't many/any Sora and Matt moments.
Their relationship caught our attention in episode 38 of Season 02. In that episode Matt and his band had a Christmas concert and Sora
baked some cookies for them. She was very nervous and didn't want to go inside the tent where the band played. She finally went in
when Tai told her to go. Her and Matt's relationship was a mystery to Tai too because he was very surprised to find her there. After that episode
we see some Sorato moments (like Matt holding Sora's shoulder ...) and then in the last episode they stand together with two children. Even though T.K. never
says they are married, it's impossible not to notice the similarity of the children and their parents. Matt became an astronaut.
CHILDREN ~ DAUGHTER AND SON
Sora and Matt have 2 children - a daughter who looks almost exactly like Matt and a son who looks like Sora. We don't know their names, but we do know that she
is older than him. Sora tells her that she is a dependable big sister because she's ready to take care of her little brother.
The daughter has a Yokomon and the son a Tsunomon as their Digimon partner.
T.K. AND HIS FAMILY
Since Sora married T.K.'s brother, T.K. became her brother-in-law. T.K. has one son that looks exactly like T.K. when he was in his age. The Son is Sora and Matt's
nephew. We don't know who the mother is and we don't know his name either. T.K. became a writer and he wrote a book about DigiDestined adventures in the digital world.
In the end we find out that the narrator of the second season is actually T.K. probably telling us the story from his book. At least that's how it is in the Japanese version.
COUSIN DUANE (DUB)
He appears in episode 30 (Season 01), but as Sora's cousin he only exists in the DUB version. In original version DigiDestined were trying to get a ride to Odaiba by hitchhiking.
This random blonde guy stopped the car because he saw Sora and Mimi and he gave them a ride. In the dubs they cut out the whole hitchhiking scene (even the one with Matt!) and
they made up this cousin who suddenly showed up there and took them with him because he was Sora's cousin and the others were her friends. All we know about him that he's quite
annoying - he doesn't want the boys to talk in his car, he listens to very loud music even though it bothers his passengers and he got really mad when someone (Koromon) pooped
in his car. When Tai tells Sora that Duane's lame she tells him that he is like a black sheep of the family.
